1st Peter 1:3-81st Peter 1:6 NKJV
6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials,
Occasionally, a Christian’s positive disposition and consistent joy can seem unbelievable. Somehow our brothers and sisters can go through challenges but not show the impact of those challenges when you look at them.
Christians have a way of moving through life with aches and illness, heartache and heavy hearts and the pain that comes with loss or life’s disappointments. All the while, their experiences are troubling ones, but they smile and say that they are, “blessed for sure.”
It is not because we are crazy. It’s not because we’re fake or not “keeping it real”. It’s also not because we’re out-of-touch or not aware of life’s realities. Instead, it is because we have an unquenchable inward joy.
If you want to understand that joy and the source of that joy, our text this morning gives a beautiful explanation.
This morning we will look closely at 1st Peter, Chapter 1 verses 3-7 and allow the Apostle Peter to encourage our hearts and our faith. Grab your Bibles and lets study together.
